Program: Young Adult Hangout

Description: A monthly Friday night program that provides young adults ages 21-35 an opportunity to build friendships, increase self-advocacy and independence skills through participation in a variety of activities including cooking, creative arts, and leisure activities.

Recommended Ages: 21-35.

Day: Friday, December 3rd

Time: 5:45pm-6:45pm
Program begins at 5:45pm. Please try to arrive about 10 minutes early if this is your first AFC program for registration.

Location: Autism Families CONNECTicut, 600 North Mountain Road, Newington CT

Cost: $10 per participant

Limit 15 participants per session.

 

  • Once registered on-line, we will email you the registration paperwork for your review. Kindly look over these forms at home.  We will have you complete at the office when you arrive.

  • Please arrive a few minutes before the program start time for additional registration and health screening, which includes temperature checks and a Covid questionnaire. Anyone exhibiting symptoms or has a temperature of over 100.4°F will not be allowed to participate in AFC programs.

  • Masks are mandatory for participants, parents/ guardians, caregivers and staff. Please bring your own masks.

  • To allow for social distancing in our parent area, only one parent/guardian or caregiver can be allowed in the building per participant .

  • In order to maintain social distancing, we are limiting the size of our programs and as a result will offer a waitlist for all programs. If you need to cancel, please notify Alicia Bray, alicia@autismfamiliesct.org, as soon as possible, so that we may offer the spot to another friend.
